I report the some progress on Ricci flow on open surfaces. Starting from the basic knowledge of the surface geometry and recalling the defintion of the G-H convergences of metrics and the result of L.F.Wu, I discuss the Kaehler formulation of 2-d ricci flow and study the Beinstein type esitimates of it.
